Job Purpose

The operator will produce high‑quality coated products that meet customer specifications and SABN quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Produce coated products to meet performance targets and quality specifications.
• Run machines in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Minimise waste while staying within target limits.
• Perform routine maintenance as scheduled and report any faults to the Section Head.
• Operate equipment safely and in compliance with SHE regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Notify the Section Head of any balancing or operational issues.
• Enter accurate data into DCLink.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Post‑secondary qualification (N4) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in a printing or manufacturing operation.
• Experience in coating or varnishing is an advantage.
• Understanding of production principles and the printing industry.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
• Computer literate.
