Job Description
Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in vehicle repair, is hiring a Bodyshop Assistant: Panel Beater for our East London branch. The role is key to ensuring that all accident‑damaged vehicles are repaired to the highest standards, helping the team reach its financial and customer‑service goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Check arriving vehicles against quotations.
- Assist with stripping vehicles and gauge damage extent.
- Support senior panel beaters in repairing damaged panels.
- Use hand tools and equipment to shape and form metal panels.
- Sand and prepare surfaces for primer application.
- Remove dents and straighten panels.
- Perform welding and soldering tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
- Return used hand equipment to the storeroom at the end of each day.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience repairing accident‑damaged vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- Technical qualification: B A Journeyman or Journeyman.
- Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence (at least 2 years old).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written).
