Role Purpose
This internship is designed to provide valuable workplace experience within our Human Capital department. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from specialists and experts in the Human Capital community, gaining hands-on knowledge and skills in a corporate environment.
Requirements
- Matric certificate or an NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
- A further 1-year post-matric qualification is required.
- Applicant must be currently unemployed.
- Must be a South African citizen by birth.
Duties & Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in a variety of tasks to support the Human Capital team, including:
- Providing administrative support for bulk recruitment processes.
- Preparing and posting job advertisements on relevant platforms to attract suitable candidates.
- Reviewing, screening, and shortlisting CVs in collaboration with the HR team based on selection criteria.
- Conducting telephonic interviews to assess candidate suitability.
- Performing reference, probity, and background checks on shortlisted candidates and providing feedback.
- Coordinating logistical arrangements for recruitment and assessment processes (e.g., booking interviews, meeting rooms).
- Supporting the onboarding and integration program for new employees.
- Capturing and maintaining accurate employee and position management data on relevant systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Compiling and submitting employee documentation accurately and timeously.
- Capturing employee contracts on the system.
- Ensuring all contracts and payroll documentation are submitted to the payroll department within agreed timeframes.
- Quality-checking payroll documentation for completeness.
- Facilitating the exit process by providing documentation and coordinating logistics.
- Assisting the HR team with ad-hoc projects and research.
