What You’ll Be Doing

This 12‑month internship offers hands‑on experience across the AI development cycle:

• Learn cloud platforms and AI tools.
• Collaborate on cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions that solve real business problems.
• Participate in the full life cycle of AI projects—from concept and data collection to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Build scalable, efficient AI systems using a range of programming languages and tools.
• Explore new AI technologies and methodologies through research and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Electronics Engineering or a related field that includes Maths, Stats, and Computer Science, or strong programming experience.
• Minimum 65 % in relevant subjects.
• Completion of second‑ or third‑year maths or statistics coursework is preferred.
• South African citizenship.
• Basic understanding of AI algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, random forests, boosted trees, and multilayer perceptrons is advantageous.
