This programme is designed to provide comprehensive workplace exposure, combining formal education with practical on-the-job training. Successful candidates will gain valuable industry experience while working towards a recognized qualification.

Programme Details

  • Duration: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
  • Start Date: 1st February 2026
  • Locations Available: Johannesburg (Sandton), Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Stellenbosch
  • Qualification: Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (NQF Level 5)
  • Remuneration: Monthly stipend provided for the duration of the programme

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this learnership programme, candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • South African citizen
  • Between 18-25 years of age
  • Completed Matric/Grade 12 with:
    • English as first or second language
    • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
  • Must provide Matric certificate and/or statement of results as proof of completion
  • Available to start on 1st February 2026
  • Reside in or near the location of the opportunity (Johannesburg/Sandton for this position)
  • Not currently participating in any post-Matric studies or formal employment
  • Not previously participated in any SETA-funded initiative

Programme Conditions

Please note that selected learners will not be permitted to:

  • Participate in any post-Matric studies during the programme period
  • Engage in other initiatives or employment while on the MMC Learnership programme
  • Miss scheduled training sessions or work commitments
