About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to join our Practice Support Department. You will support a wide range of marketing tasks, from digital media and content creation to business development and general administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Marketing Support
- Monitor and respond to comments on our social media pages.
- Create engaging content for social media.
- Assist with internal marketing events and initiatives.
- Maintain basic website administration, including tracking articles and removing outdated authors.
- Update LinkedIn profiles for staff members and coordinate page updates.
- Business Development Assistance
- Build and manage databases for directors’ campaign targeting.
- Distribute monthly lead statistics to professional contacts.
- Support events, seminars, and the execution of marketing campaigns.
- General Administration
- Source supplier quotes to meet ISO requirements.
- Prepare creative briefs for designers on small projects.
- Administer digital advertising accounts, including setup and refund follow‑ups.
- Assist with internal marketing initiatives, employee engagement programs, and large–scale events such as year‑end celebrations.
- Help organize charity drives and related events throughout the year.
- Coordinate appointments with suppliers (e.g., photographers).
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing platforms, social media, and content creation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Strong prioritisation and deadline‑driven approach.
- Calm under pressure and able to cope with high workloads.
- Initiative‑driven and self‑motivated.
- Good interpersonal skills, punctual, flexible, and reliable.
- Professional work ethic.
