About the role
The trainee will support the improvement of receiving and goods receipt, manage inbound materials, and help maintain accurate stock information. You will also contribute to locating and resolving inventory gaps, work with other teams to understand supply chain needs, and participate in continuous improvement discussions.
Duties
- Improve receiving procedures and goods receipt verification (GRV).
- Process inbound materials and ensure correct documentation.
- Perform stock counts and support cycle‑count activities.
- Investigate inventory variances, conduct root‑cause analysis, and produce reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on supply chain impact analysis.
- Take part in daily team meetings for idea generation and improvement ideas.
- Record and report data accurately to aid logistics decisions.
- Follow safety procedures and help organize warehouse space.
- Document the new xKD claiming system – Quyntess.
Requirements
Qualifications: Supply Chain Management or equivalent (NQF‑Level 5).
Key skills:
- Pro‑active and reliable, with strong self‑motivation.
- Flexible, forward‑thinking, and able to adapt quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communication; good interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Can work independently while being a supportive team player.
