A leading data-driven technology company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer – Data Science Projects to join their growing team. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain data-driven systems, including predictive models, pipelines, dashboards, and APIs in production.
- Identify and resolve issues related to performance degradation, data inconsistencies, or infrastructure stability.
- Implement automated checks and alerts to track system health, accuracy, and data quality.
- Perform regular updates and patches to tools, dependencies, and environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to improve code structure and maintainability.
- Document changes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for transparency and team knowledge-sharing.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to minimize system downtime.
- Ensure maintained systems align with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance of deployed solutions.
Requirements:
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a relevant role such as data engineering, machine learning operations, or software system maintenance.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages commonly used in data workflows (e.g., Python, R).
- Solid experience with SQL and working with large, complex datasets.
- Familiarity with production environments and maintaining live analytics or data-driven applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of cloud-native tools and practices.
