About the role

We’re looking for a final‑year student to support our Learning & Development team. The internship will give you hands‑on experience in coordinating learning initiatives, managing budgets, supporting learnership programs, and ensuring compliance with learning and skills development regulations. You’ll work closely with managers from Learning & Development and other departments to deliver high‑quality learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders for the Learning Team and manage the team’s budget.
  • Assist the manager with grant funding to SETA and tax rebates with SARS.
  • Coordinate learnership programmes end‑to‑end, including recruitment, contracting and registration.
  • Support the Learning Team with coordination, administration and reporting of learning initiatives.
  • Provide assistance to other L&D Managers on projects and day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Manage the BBBEE skills‑development process – gather company data, compile documentation, and monitor records.
  • Organise virtual onboarding sessions and related logistics.
  • Offer administrative support on projects, catering, travel and vendor processes.
  • Administer the Learner Management System, close classes, download completion reports and maintain training records.
  • Align learning and skills development activities with employment equity and transformation objectives.
  • Prepare data and reports required for SETA accreditation and submit scheduled skills‑development reports.

Education & experience

  • Final year of a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Education, Training, or a related field.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; good presentation skills.
  • Excellent time‑management and multitasking ability.
  • Team player who can work under pressure.
  • South African citizen.
