Job Overview

An exciting career opportunity exists for a dedicated and reliable Courier to join our team in Pencardia, Pretoria. This permanent position is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing safe, efficient, and timely delivery services while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily collection and delivery routes by checking assigned boxes and tasks.
• Safely and promptly collect and deliver specimens, reports, and other goods to and from outlying laboratories, doctors, and clients.
• Ensure all items arrive at their correct destinations in good condition to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Complete and sign proof of delivery documents to maintain accurate records for tracking purposes.
• Scan specimens and results using the Courier Management Programme to enable tracking and tracing of all deliveries and collections.
• Maintain the daily safekeeping of company assets (e.g., vehicles, petrol cards, uniforms) and report any faults promptly.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations by using appropriate protective wear (e.g., specimen bags, gloves, eye protection).
• Complete and submit incident and accident reports to management to facilitate insurance claims and repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and report any spills of hazardous materials to maintain safe working conditions as per Quality Assurance Standards.

Requirements

• Grade 10 qualification with 2–3 years of relevant working experience, OR a minimum of 10 years of courier experience.
• Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification is preferable.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• Strong sense of accountability, honesty, and patience.
• Good communication skills and a rule-oriented approach to work.

Remuneration

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience level.
