A vacancy exists for an experienced and polished Inbound MICE Consultant at our client’s office in the Cape Town Region. The ideal candidate will have strong destination knowledge of Southern and East Africa, a corporate mindset, and a detail-oriented approach to managing international MICE programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and deliver tailored MICE experiences for international corporate clients
Liaise directly with clients and agents to understand briefings, budgets, and objectives
Plan and quote group travel itineraries across Southern and East Africa
Prepare compelling proposals and presentations using tools like PowerPoint and Word
Coordinate all logistics, including flights, transfers, accommodation, activities, catering, AV, venues, branding, and entertainment
Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers and maintain supplier relationships
Manage on-the-ground execution of programs, including hosting, client support, and troubleshooting
Compile final documentation such as travel packs, confirmations, itineraries, and vouchers
Handle financials, including costing, invoicing, and reconciling supplier payments post-event
Maintain high service standards and ensure client satisfaction at all times

Key Requirements

5+ years of experience in inbound travel and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions)
Strong knowledge of Southern and East African destinations
Fluent in English (written and spoken); foreign language proficiency is a plus
Highly presentable and comfortable with corporate B2B client interactions
Ability to manage high-pressure timelines, long hours, and frequent travel
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
Cultural awareness and ability to relate to diverse, international client needs
