Detailed Learning Objectives & Responsibilities:
During your 12 months with us, you will be actively involved in and learn to perform key HR tasks under guidance. Your core responsibilities and learning areas will include:

Recruitment & Selection Support:

Assisting with the end-to-end coordination of recruitment campaigns.

Scheduling interviews efficiently between candidates, hiring managers, and panel members, managing diaries and communication.

Assisting with the preparation of interview packs and candidate documentation.

Supporting communication with candidates throughout various stages of the recruitment process.

Helping to maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) or recruitment database with accurate and up-to-date information.

Employee Records Management:

Maintaining both physical and digital employee files with the utmost accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to company policy and relevant legislation (like POPIA – Protection of Personal Information Act).

Ensuring all employee documentation (contracts, personal details, performance reviews, disciplinary records, etc.) is correctly filed, indexed, and easily retrievable.

Assisting with regular audits of employee files to ensure completeness and compliance.

Onboarding & Orientation:

Providing crucial support in the coordination and execution of onboarding and orientation programmes for new hires.
-
Preparing new starter packs and ensuring all necessary equipment and access is arranged.

Assisting with the facilitation of orientation sessions, introducing new employees to company culture, policies, and systems.

Helping to ensure a smooth and positive first-day and first-week experience for new joiners.

Training & Development Coordination:

Providing logistical support for the organization of internal and external training sessions, workshops, and HR-related events.

Tasks may include booking venues, coordinating schedules, managing participant lists, preparing training materials, and handling facilitator arrangements.

Assisting with communication regarding training opportunities to employees.

HR Reporting & Administration:

Compiling basic but essential HR reports under supervision (e.g., headcount reports, recruitment status updates, training attendance).

Assisting in the creation of clear and professional HR presentations for team meetings or management updates.

Providing comprehensive administrative support to the broader HR team, including managing correspondence, handling routine queries, ordering supplies, and maintaining departmental records.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals ready to learn and contribute. You are the perfect fit if you meet the following criteria:

Qualification: A recent graduate (within the last 1-2 years) holding a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or a directly related HR field. Your qualification should be from a recognised South African institution.

Experience: No prior formal work experience in HR is required. This internship is designed as your entry point. A genuine eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude are essential.

Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy is non-negotiable. You must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) or databases would be advantageous, but training will be provided on specific systems.

Monthly Stipend: A competitive stipend of R5,500 per month for the duration of the 12-month internship.
