Position Overview

Join our team as a Customer Service Consultant based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to HARTMANN South Africa’s clients. Your knowledge of products and procedures, combined with a friendly and efficient approach, will help position HARTMANN South Africa as a best-in-class service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying customer complaints, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Escalate complex queries and complaints to the appropriate department manager when necessary.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing completed orders and credit notes.
  • Prepare correspondence and quotes, and provide detailed product knowledge to clients.
  • Ensure back orders are released when stock arrives and complete weekly back-order reports for the stock controller.
  • Keep the out-of-stock notice board updated in real-time.
  • Process all returns promptly and ensure customer credits are completed.
  • Sort incoming post and manage internal print work.
  • Handle sample requests, ensuring the correct clients receive samples.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with HARTMANN customers.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information regularly.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload effectively.
  • Strong planning and time management skills.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
