About the role

You will support the Manager with all technical, mechanical and grounds duties at the resort. The main focus will be to service and maintain the air‑conditioning and refrigeration units. You will also help oversee the overall standards of the resort’s mechanical and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain all air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out routine mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building maintenance tasks.
• Maintain pool and water reticulation systems.
• Supervise and assist staff in day‑to‑day tasks.
• Coordinate with external service providers to meet required standards.
• Control and manage maintenance stores.
• Work a 6‑day week, including shifts, public holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Matric/Grade 12 (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building, carpentry, HVAC, heat pumps, water reticulation and pool maintenance.
• Experience managing a team and supervising staff.
• Un‑endorsed Code B driver’s licence.
• Computer literate.
• Dynamic, performance‑driven, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work well under pressure.
