About the Role
Are you currently unemployed and seeking an opportunity to develop your potential? Guardrisk is excited to offer Learnership opportunities for motivated individuals passionate about client service. This programme is designed to equip you with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the workplace.
A Learnership is a structured programme that leads to a nationally recognised qualification. Successful candidates will obtain a Short Term and Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification, which is accredited by INSETA and SAQA. This programme opens doors to various career paths within the insurance industry, such as Claims and Operations.
Please note that while completion of the Learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, it provides invaluable experience to kick-start your career.
Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development
- Actively participate in classroom sessions and on-the-job training.
- Develop a deep understanding of company products, policies, and procedures.
- Compile a portfolio of evidence for submission to SETA.
- Maintain detailed logbooks for work-based learning.
- Successfully complete formative and summative assessments.
- Become proficient in using company systems and understanding operational processes.
Client Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to service level agreements and manage expectations effectively.
- Provide recommendations to enhance client service and ensure fair treatment.
- Participate in a culture that promotes meaningful relationships and exceptional service.
- Monitor and improve turnaround times and quality standards.
- Manage client queries efficiently and use feedback to refine processes.
Team Collaboration
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
- Continuously enhance industry-specific knowledge and apply it effectively.
- Support change initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.

Financial and Compliance
- Identify solutions to improve cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 certificate.
- Pure Mathematics (60% or higher) or Mathematical Literacy (70% or higher).
- English (65% or higher).
- Currently unemployed.
- Aged between 18 and 30.
- Must not have participated in a learnership before.
