We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional. In this role, you will ensure legal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act, Act 85 of 1993) as a GMR 2.1 appointee while driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across the site. This position combines statutory accountability with proactive HSE leadership to embed a strong safety culture and operational excellence.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- National Diploma or Bachelor of Technology, or BSc Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories (advantageous or required depending on the site).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in HSE management and legal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of the OHS Act, GMR, and relevant SANS standards.
