Job Purpose
Ensure all activities within the Promix department are carried out safely and meet operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the pallet wrapping machine.
- Produce high‑quality wrapped products.
- Maintain the wrapper in good working order.
- Operate the wrapper safely at all times.
- Assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting.
- Check all bottom and end seals for quality assurance.
- Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies
- Team player.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus.
- High physical fitness; able to stand for long periods.
- Strong concentration and attention to detail.
- Works efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Accountable and reliable.
Qualifications
Matric / Grade 12.
Experience
- 2–3 years in the milling industry.
- 6 months to 1 year experience as a decanter operator.
Key Outputs
Production of quality wrapped product and maintenance of the wrapping machine.
Working Conditions
- Fast‑moving, hot and noisy milling environment.
- Work may include after‑hours and overtime shifts.
- Operating heavy mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Shift work schedule.
