Requirements
• ABET Certificate (preference for those with additional qualifications).
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with gardening equipment, lawn care, and general maintenance tasks.
• Basic knowledge of safe maintenance practices for government water infrastructure and related facilities.
Duties
• Perform general maintenance activities such as weed control, gardening, painting, and herbicide application.
• Conduct routine inspections of departmental infrastructure.
• Maintain government water infrastructure including canals, pipelines, dams, servitudes, terrain, and buildings.
• Report faults, defects, and safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
• Load and unload equipment safely.
• Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and related regulations.
• Assist with other general duties as requested.
