Overview
This role is mainly focused on entering financial data into the accounting system. You will capture invoices and bank statements, reconcile balances, and help plan cash flow. Managing supplier payments and preparing for audits are also key parts of the job.
Responsibilities
- Record the cashbook daily.
- Create and receive purchase orders.
- Enter invoices daily, ensuring correct VAT allocations.
- Create revenue invoices for billing.
- Approve invoices and new suppliers according to the company delegation of authority policy.
- Create fixed assets in the fixed‑asset module.
- Prepare bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Compile audit packs and respond to audit requests.
- Prepare payment batches and load payments into online banking.
- Monitor the ageing of debtors and creditors.
- Review vendor onboarding packs and verify all required details before capture.
- Plan weekly cash flow.
- Meet monthly accounting deadlines.
- Handle filing and general office administration.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role.
