Job Description
Freedom Stationery is looking for a detail‑oriented Dispatch Clerk to join our Warehouse team. The role involves coordinating daily dispatch operations, managing shipment documents, and ensuring finished goods are prepared and sent out on time and in line with company procedures and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch operations and assign delivery routes.
- Check, pack and dispatch goods accurately and on schedule.
- Generate, verify and file dispatch documentation such as delivery notes, waybills, invoices and manifests.
- Coordinate with teams – Sales, Customer Service, and Production – to align order fulfilment.
- Communicate proactively with customers about delivery status and any delays.
- Reconcile physical stock with dispatch paperwork and report discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and transport regulations.
- Record dispatch data in the ERP or logistics system and produce performance reports.
- Assist the team with ad‑hoc dispatch tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
Preferred qualification: Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management.
Experience: 2–3 years in a dispatch or warehouse‑related role (FMCG or manufacturing environments are a plus).
Technical skills: Proficiency in ERP systems such as Syspro and experience with dispatch documentation processes.
Knowledge: Inventory control, transport regulations and OHS standards.
