About the Role

FlySafair is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an organised individual to build a career within a dynamic aviation environment. The successful candidate will provide crucial administrative support to our legal department, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties to support the legal team.
  • Maintain and manage appropriate filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Keep accurate records and diligently update document expiry dates.
  • Issue timely contract expiry notifications to relevant departments.
  • Collate necessary information and supporting documents for vendor and credit applications.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for Air Services License amendment applications.
  • Support the processing of non-aviation insurance claims, including those for lost/damaged company property, motor accidents, group personal accident, and travel insurance.
  • Assist in compiling documentation for aviation-related insurance claims.
  • Administer the company’s non-aviation insurance renewal process.
  • Monitor and help ensure ongoing compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI).

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of administration experience within a mid-size organisation.
  • Sound knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Valid South African Passport.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, when required.
  • Willingness to travel as and when required for work purposes.
