Job Description
FlySafair is seeking a meticulous and organized Dispatch Assistant to join our logistics and warehouse team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all unserviceable aircraft spares, from inspection to dispatch. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and an exceptional eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect all unserviceable aircraft spares to confirm they have been properly flushed and prepared for shipment before they are officially received into the warehouse.
- Thoroughly review all accompanying paperwork for unserviceable spares to ensure it is fully completed and accurate prior to induction.
- Safely and correctly pack parts and components onto shelves to prevent any further damage during storage.
- Work closely with the planning department to ensure all required stock movements are accurately processed and updated in the SAM system.
- Perform daily stock checks on all items that are marked as unserviceable within the SAM inventory system.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to quickly identify and resolve any logistical or inventory-related problems.
- Maintain and update stock records in the SAM system to ensure real-time accuracy.
- Ensure all items are packed and secured correctly to prevent any damage that could occur during the shipping process.
- Coordinate directly with external shipping companies to schedule the pickup and delivery of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with various internal departments to guarantee the timely delivery of all shipments.
- Provide daily, clear feedback to both internal and external customers and stakeholders on shipment statuses.
- Maintain the dispatch area in a clean, organized, and audit-ready state at all times.
- Strictly adhere to all company procedures, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (Essential).
- 1-2 years of proven experience in a warehousing or logistics environment (Essential).
- Experience in packing dangerous goods and/or aircraft spares is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with an ERP system is beneficial.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.

Working Conditions:
- Must be willing and available to work overtime as required by operational needs.
- Must be willing to work 24-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
