Position Overview
ACSA seeks a dedicated Fire Fighter I to join our Operations Management team at King Phalo Airport. This critical safety role requires emergency response expertise and commitment to maintaining aviation security standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain 24/7 operational readiness of fire/rescue vehicles, equipment, and facilities
- Respond to fire, medical, and hazardous material emergencies within airport jurisdiction
- Conduct airfield inspections (runways, taxiways, aprons) to identify/remove safety hazards
- Participate in aviation firefighting drills and continuous professional training
- Deliver fire safety education programs to airport staff and stakeholders
- Perform aircraft marshaling duties and emergency medical first response
- Maintain compliance with Civil Aviation regulations and ACSA protocols
- Complete accurate incident reports and operational documentation
Essential Requirements
- Valid Grade 12/Matric Certificate
- SAESI Fire Fighter 1 Certification (Mandatory)
- Hazmat Awareness & Operations Certification
- HPCSA Basic Ambulance Assistance/First Aid Level 3
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- 6+ months firefighting experience (aviation preferred)
- Physical fitness to perform emergency duties

Employment Conditions
