Job Summary

The finance team at Netcare Hospitals (Pty) Limited is looking for a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Finance Intern. This internship offers you hands‑on experience in the healthcare finance sector, supporting day‑to‑day financial operations and contributing to the efficient running of our hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and analysing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and help with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Enter data and update financial databases.
• Conduct research and analysis on financial data as requested.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives assigned by the finance team.
• Adhere to all company policies and financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong academic record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to learn and contribute to a professional finance environment.
• Prior experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus, but not required.
