Job Description

An opportunity for a CIT Driver is available at our Cash-in-Transit (CIT) Durban Branch. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to safely transport crew members and custodians to collect and deliver clients’ money, while ensuring accurate proof of delivery and collection.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a clear criminal record.
  • PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification.
  • Valid Cash-in-Transit (CIT) Certificate.
  • Firearm competency for business purposes, with a minimum handgun qualification.
  • Valid driver’s license – Code C1 (minimum) and a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
  • At least 2 years of experience in the security industry or a similar role (experience within Fidelity Services Group is advantageous).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Must be physically fit.

Key Responsibilities (Job Specification)

  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for the collection and delivery of clients’ money.
  • Immediately report any delays to the Operations Manager.
  • Prevent and report all security incidents.
  • Maintain constant radio contact with control room operators.
  • Take preventive action against any suspicious activities observed.
  • Conduct daily vehicle audits and complete the necessary checklist.
  • Operate the vehicle responsibly and complete all required documentation in the event of an accident or incident.
