Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our Receiving Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving both fresh produce and consumable stock, ensuring all items meet our strict standards for quantity, quality, and expiration dates. This role is vital to maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring our customers receive the freshest products.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming stock, including fresh produce and consumables, by accurately checking quantities, quality, and expiration dates.
• Move stock from the outside delivery bay area to various designated locations within the warehouse.
• Transfer stock into the indoor receiving area efficiently and safely.
• Condense stock when not busy to optimize space and maintain an organized warehouse.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the receiving area to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with processing returns and collecting returned items from designated areas.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric NSC Pass is essential. Please include a copy of your certificate in your application.
• Experience or training in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and Fresh Produce is highly preferred, particularly in sorting and organizing such goods.
• Possession of a BT (Battery Operated Truck) and/or Forklift license is preferred. Please include a copy of your license with your CV.

• Must have a clear criminal record.
• No drug use.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical condition, as the role involves lifting and moving stock.
