Job Purpose

Provide customer support for public transport services and assist users with the EMV card fare payment system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer public enquiries about public transport services and the EMV card.
  • Educate customers on how to use the EMV card at eThekwini Transport Authority Customer Care Centres.
  • Process applications for concession travel cards for pensioners, disabled and scholars.
  • Handle replacement of damaged or defective EMV cards and transfer remaining value to new cards.
  • Maintain an organised filing system.
  • Keep records of queries/requests and report their status.
  • Refer queries that cannot be resolved to appropriate personnel.

Essential Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 months relevant experience.
  • Computer literacy.

Preferred Requirements

  • 6 months relevant experience.
