Position Summary
Eskom is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Learner Artisan within the Control & Instrumentation Department at our Peaking Business Unit in Acacia, Western Cape. This learnership is designed to provide comprehensive institutionalised and on-the-job training, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful career as an artisan.
Key Responsibilities
The successful incumbent will be enrolled in a structured training programme. Key responsibilities during this learnership will include:
- Participating in both theoretical institutional training and extensive practical on-the-job training.
- Learning and applying skills relevant to the Control & Instrumentation trade.
- Adhering to all Eskom policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Working effectively as part of a team under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Completing all assigned tasks and training modules to the required standard.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- A National N6 Certificate with relevant Trade Subjects (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics); OR
- A National N4/N5 Certificate with relevant Trade Subjects; OR
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (50%), Physical Science (50%), and English (40%); OR
- N3 Certificate with Mathematics (50%), Science (50%), and English (40%); OR
- NCV Level 4 with Mathematics (50%), Science (50%), and English (40%).
