Position Summary
Eskom Transmission is seeking a dedicated and professional Assistant Officer for Customer Relations. This is an entry-level position based in Worcester, Western Cape. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders. The core function of this role is to act as a liaison between the Transmission Grid and both internal and external stakeholders, promoting public awareness of Eskom’s Transmission business, ensuring respect for Eskom assets, and highlighting critical safety issues related to electricity supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder/Customer Relation Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, community members, and public officials.
- Liaise with Internal Customers: Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer and stakeholder expectations are met and that information flows efficiently.
- Customer Interface/Safety/Environment Awareness: Actively engage with the public to promote awareness of safety protocols and environmental considerations related to Eskom’s infrastructure and operations.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
National Diploma in Marketing, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Social Science, Business Management, or Customer Service at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Lines and Servitudes Inspections, with proven experience dealing with various stakeholders, particularly in communications and public administration.
