Job Description

Ekurhuleni West TVET College is offering an exciting internship opportunity for an Information Technology Trainee at our Germiston Campus. This role is ideal for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment. The successful candidate will be involved in various technical support and maintenance tasks, providing essential services to ensure the smooth operation of our college’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Make recommendations for ordering necessary computer parts.
• Load software and perform internet installations and maintenance.
• Assist offices at the campus or head office with network operations.
• Perform basic repairs to printers or make recommendations for professional repairs.
• Assist with the maintenance of administration unit computers and printers.
• Help maintain the network in administration offices and at head office.
• Maintain staff workstations, computers, and printers across campus offices.
• Attend to any computer-related requirements as requested by campus management.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following educational criteria:

• A+ Certification, OR
• N+ Certification, OR
• Information Technology & Computer Science Level 4 qualification.

• Original certified copies of your Matric Certificate.
• Original certified copies of your Certificates for Information Technology & Computer Science Level 2-4 / ICDL Computer Technician & Network Technician.
• Original certified copy of your Identity Document (both sides).
• Contact details for at least three (3) contactable references, including their email addresses.
