Job Overview

This learnership will give you the opportunity to develop a career as an electrician within a leading mining company. You will receive on‑the‑job training and mentoring, working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical equipment and systems used in the mine.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot faults, and complete technical drawings.
• Support senior electricians and engineers on projects such as wiring upgrades, motor maintenance, and safety audits.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and tools used.

Minimum Educational Requirements

• Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (Grade 12 or equivalent).
• Relevant certificates, licences, or qualifications that enable safe electrical work in a mining environment (e.g., Electrical Worker Certificate, Electrician Certification).

Documents to Provide

• Proof of medical fitness in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
• All relevant certifications that are certified by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
• Updated CV that details qualifications, work experience, and any additional training.
