About the Role
The Dis-Chem Pharmacies team in Midrand is hiring a People & Culture Information Systems Graduate. You will work with our Head Office team to develop, test, debug, and release custom HR applications. You will collaborate in an agile environment to support daily operations and deliver projects on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the in‑house HR tool by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Assist with coding, debugging, and testing for ongoing projects.
- Write high‑quality code that meets QA standards.
- Collaborate with teammates to share workload and meet deadlines.
- Help design and add new features to existing or new applications.
- Contribute ideas for research and innovation.
- Prepare functional design documents and process flow diagrams.
- Maintain test cases for unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Document bugs and work with the team to fix them.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes with the HRIS.
- Work with HR and other departments to streamline workflows.
- Keep current with new tools and technologies.
- Ensure HRIS complies with data privacy laws and security protocols.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate.
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 0–1 year experience in Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with React, Redux, Next.js, Git, and database design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming.
- Experience building full‑stack web applications.

Special Conditions
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Hold a valid MIE and clear criminal record.
