About the Role

At AVI Limited we value collaboration and innovation. Our Shared Services teams in IT, Finance, HR, Logistics, Digital, Marketing and Field Marketing support our industry-leading brands. This position is part of AVI Logistics Support Services, where we manage the movement of goods from warehousing to delivery. We are looking for a detail‑oriented Investigations Clerk who can analyse customer delivery queries and resolve discrepancies quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute the daily returns report to all stakeholders by 9:00 am.
  • Prepare the Back‑to‑Stock (BTS) checklist the following morning.
  • Investigate shortages and extras by reviewing PODs, driver documents and system records (Indigo, Ciro, Just Imagine, etc.).
  • Work with other departments to resolve differences and communicate findings clearly.
  • Retrieve and review CCTV footage when needed to support investigations.
  • Compile and share investigation outcomes with evidence to responsible parties.
  • Reconcile weekly shorts and extras reports and ensure accuracy before stock adjustments.
  • Prepare and submit the monthly Drivers Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) report to Transport.
  • Coordinate hamper orders, ensuring all sites order in the first week of each month.
  • Create accurate hamper orders and distribution lists for Isando DC and contractors.
  • Assist customers and sales teams with POD requests.
  • Support stock‑take preparations, stock movements and POD scanning.
  • Participate in stock takes as required.
  • Maintain accurate digital records across multiple systems.

Reporting To

Senior Distribution Center Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SAP, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 WM and IM modules.
  • Experience conducting investigations or process audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
