Role Overview

The Engineering Assistant supports day‑to‑day engineering activities at our Mokopane site. This role includes maintaining tools and equipment, assisting artisans, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Manage workshop machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Load, dispatch, and transport materials and equipment to work sites.
• Assist all trades (artisans) with onsite tasks.
• Ensure all required tools, materials, and spares are available.
• Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.
• Communicate any issues or unexpected problems to team members.
• Support team members in maintaining equipment within their area.
• Accompany artisans when inspecting and completing tasks.
• Promote safety awareness and identify unsafe practices.
• Report safety‑related issues to the supervising safety representative.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
• No prior experience required; prior 18.2 learnership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Basic technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• Team‑player with a commitment to quality and safety.
