Role Overview

This internship is part of Valterra Platinum’s work exposure programme (P1/P2) designed to give final‑year students the hands‑on experience required to graduate. The programme runs for 12 months and focuses on the entire PGM value chain—from mine to market.

Who Should Apply?

• Final year students pursuing a National Diploma (N6, S3, S4) in Electrical Engineering
• Applicants who need P1/P2 work exposure to graduate
• Students from host communities (Baphalane Ba Mantserre, Bakgatla Ba Kgafela, Baphalane Ba Ramokoka, Thabazimbi & Moses Kotane Municipality)
• Beneficiaries – family members financially dependent on a Valterra employee who are registered with the employee’s pension/provident fund

Eligibility & Documentation

Applicants must submit the following:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV) with contact details and email address
• Copy of ID and academic qualifications
• Academic record/transcripts and a letter from your institution indicating the need for work exposure to graduate
• Proof of residence (for host‑community applicants) – stamped by the relevant tribal office or municipality
• Confirmation of dependence from a permanent Valterra employee (for beneficiaries)

Medical & Safety Requirements

All candidates will undergo a medical fitness test and safety assessments as part of the onboarding process.
