About the Role
Join TIH – a leading South African provider of financial services. In this role you will capture and manage customer information to settle claims, provide administrative support, and upsell products that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Management: Resolve customer inquiries on the first call via phone or email, and follow required quality standards.
- Needs Analysis: Ask clarifying questions to gather essential details for quick resolution.
- Up‑Sell: Identify suitable products or services, explain them to customers, and encourage purchasing decisions.
- Correspondence: Handle routine email requests and tailor responses for more complex requests using templates.
- Operational Compliance: Adhere to company policies, regulatory codes, and internal codes of conduct.
- Administration: Update policy information (e.g., address, contact details, banking info) and guide customers through policy‑related processes.
- Professional Development: Participate in training, coaching, and industry learning to build your capabilities.
- Scheduling: Work on an assigned schedule while maintaining required quality and compliance standards.
What We Expect From You
Education: Matric / Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential). Reg 5 certification, STI qualification, Class of Business, or a customer service/sales certificate are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum two years in customer service (essential). One year of call centre experience is advantageous.
