Job Description
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and reliable Creditors Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will keep accurate records of all vendor accounts, process invoices, reconcile statements and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile vendor invoices.
- Maintain accurate vendor account records.
- Prepare and process supplier payments.
- Track outstanding payments and monitor payment status.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Assist with month‑end closing activities.
- Resolve payment discrepancies or billing issues.
- Record all financial transactions related to creditors.
- Assist with ad‑hoc finance projects as required.
- Liaise between site teams and suppliers.
- File reconciliations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Creditors Clerk or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; Buildsmart experience is an advantage.
- Strong organisational, planning and attention to detail.
- Excellent time‑management and prioritising skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Deadline‑driven and good problem‑solving skills.
