Courier – Permanent Position

Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga

Lancet Laboratories is looking for a reliable Courier to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of specimens, reports, and other essential items while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute collection and delivery routes, checking tasks and schedules.
• Transport specimens, reports, and goods to and from laboratories, doctors, and clients.
• Sign proof of delivery, ensuring accurate records for tracking.
• Scan items into the Courier Management Programme for traceability.
• Maintain vehicles, petrol cards, uniforms, and equipment in good working order.
• Use protective wear – specimen bags, gloves, eye protection – to meet health and safety standards.
• Complete incident and accident reports; submit to management for insurance processing.
• Keep vehicles clean and report any hazardous spills to management.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence (Class 1/2 appropriate for vehicle type).
• Minimum of Grade 10 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
• At least 10 years of courier experience, or 2–3 years with Grade 10 background.
• Flexible schedule – must be willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong communication, honesty, patience and rule-oriented attitude.
