About the Job
Join Clicks Group, a leading health and beauty retailer, as a Shop Assistant / Cashier. In this role you will provide friendly, efficient customer service at the point of sale, handle transactions accurately, and support the store’s merchandising and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions accurately and safely, including handling cash and credit payments.
- Ensure correct scanning of merchandise and application of clubcard rewards.
- Promote Clicks clubcard membership and enroll new members to meet participation targets.
- Inform customers about current promotions and product information to boost sales.
- Maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness in line with company standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Keep up to date with product ranges, promotions, and events to support customer enquiries.
- Follow all company policies and procedures for cash handling, safety, and customer service.
Essential Knowledge
- Basic mathematics and cash handling skills.
- Understanding of retail merchandising and promotion principles.
- Basic knowledge of stock management and inventory controls.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

- Clear communication, both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy (POS systems).

Experience & Education
Experience: Minimum of any customer‑facing role in retail/FMCG preferred. Retail experience is an advantage.
Education: Grade 12 required. Desirable to have Grade 12 with at least 50% maths and 50% English.
