Job Description
As a Festive Shop Assistant, your primary purpose will be to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the busy festive trade period. You will be the friendly face of The Body Shop, ensuring every customer has a memorable and positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities & Job Objectives
- Deliver superior customer service by being highly visible, approachable, and offering a friendly, professional manner at all times.
- Respond to basic product knowledge inquiries from customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Assist customers in locating products or direct them to the appropriate aisle or section within the store.
- Execute and maintain all merchandising duties according to the store’s high standards and visual merchandise guidelines to ensure the shop floor looks its best.
- Efficiently restock shelves and assist in keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized to create a pleasant shopping environment.
- Wrap and bag items purchased by customers with care and attention to detail.
- Inform customers about ongoing promotions, special offers, and festive offerings to enhance their shopping experience and ensure they get the best value.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric) is essential.
- Previous experience in a sales or service environment is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Skills, Abilities & Job-Related Knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently within set guidelines and meet given timeframes.
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
- An enthusiastic, vibrant, and positive attitude is crucial.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure, especially during peak festive trading hours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
