Position Overview
You will be a key member of our store team, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service at the point of sale, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining an engaging shop environment. This role offers an excellent introduction to a career in retail for recent graduates or matriculants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service to every customer.
- Process sales accurately using the POS system, including scanning items, applying discounts, and handling payments.
- Safely manage cash and card transactions.
- Promote Clicks Clubcard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
- Inform customers about current promotions and encourage sales.
- Maintain store merchandising and housekeeping standards.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and store events.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) completed.
- Basic maths and numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Strong customer orientation and problem‑solving ability.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Previous retail or FMCG experience.
- Understanding of merchandising and stock management.
- Experience with POS systems.
