About the Role
Are you an enthusiastic Civil Engineering graduate looking to start your career? Join Inani Infrastructure as a graduate intern and work beside experienced engineers on real-world projects. You will gain hands‑on experience in project planning, design, and execution, and help shape the next generation of infrastructure in South Africa.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s (B Eng / BSc or BTech) in Civil Engineering, or final‑year student.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word is an advantage.
- Minimum average of 60 % in your studies.
- Good command of English and/or Afrikaans.
- Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates, females, and persons with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers and project managers with planning and execution.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Create engineering drawings and plans using CAD software.
- Work with design teams to develop layouts, schematics, and construction documents.
- Gather and analyse data from site surveys, tests and research to support decisions.
- Prepare reports, recommendations and cost estimates.
- Monitor project costs and help keep projects within budget.
- Perform engineering calculations for relevant areas.
- Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Prepare progress reports and memos.
- Assist in quality control checks and resolve design issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to find practical solutions.
