About the Internship

The Companies & Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), a member of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), is offering a 24‑month Graduate Internship Programme in E‑Communications. Internship is a public‑service graduate work experience programme aimed at unemployed graduates, providing them with hands‑on work experience that complements their studies.

Pretoria, Gauteng – Interns will be based in our Sunnyside Office.

  • Stipend: R12 000.00 per month
  • Eligibility:
    • Unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions.
    • Completed a degree or diploma.
    • Age 18–35 years.
    • Students from TVET colleges are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

As an E‑Communications intern you will work collaboratively with our communications team to support and develop digital communication strategies, manage content across platforms, and contribute to the overall success of the department. Specific duties will be tailored to emerging projects and your skill set.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Management Assistant (TVET qualification).
  • Valid South African ID.
  • Relevant qualification documents (e.g., transcripts, certificates).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to the CIPC’s values and work ethic.

Remuneration and Agreements

  • Interns receive a stipend of R12 000.00 per month.
  • Successful candidates will sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement.
  • Qualifications and SA citizenship checks will be conducted.
  • Applicants with foreign qualifications must have their certificates evaluated by SAQA prior to application.
