Child of Employee Scholarship

Purpose of the Scholarship: To invest in the education of children of Seriti’s permanent employees. The scheme supports a child in obtaining tertiary education in any field at a recognised South African higher education institution (mainstream university or University of Technology).
Who Can Apply?
- Current Grade 12 learners who have been provisionally accepted for a 2026 programme at a registered Higher Education Training Institution (HET).
- University students currently pursuing a Degree or Diploma at any level at a registered HET.
- Only accredited courses (NQF Level 6 or higher) are eligible.
- Applications will be considered on academic performance, recent results, academic excellence, and financial need.
- No bridging or foundation courses will be sponsored.
Eligibility Requirements
- South African citizenship.
- Certified copy of the most recent Grade 12 academic record.
- Brief CV.
- Letter of provisional acceptance or proof of 2026 registration from an accredited mainstream university or University of Technology.
- Proof of residence (municipal water & lights bill or a letter from a council member or chief).
- Parent’s (employee) details: full name, surname, and company number.
Bursary Components
- Tuition fee payment for the 2026 academic year (excluding fees for failed subjects, outstanding tuition, or interest).
- Accommodation and meal allowance.
- Pocket money.
- Book allowance.
- One‑off laptop allowance.
Terms & Conditions
- Final contract is contingent on official registration for the 2026 academic year.
- Students must pass all subjects; failed modules are not covered.
- Seriti does not provide internship or vacation work opportunities.
- No work‑back obligation upon completion of studies.
- Bridging course or foundation year participants are ineligible.
- Preference will be given to students from the local community.
- Beneficiaries of other sponsorships are not eligible.

Please use Google Chrome to submit your application, as it enables attachment of all required documents. Ensure that your CV and all certifications have been issued within the last 3 months. All documents must be:
- Certified copies of qualifications.
- ID document.
- Academic record or results.
- Registration acceptance letter.
- Proof of residence.
- Parent’s details.
Applications will be considered in line with employment equity targets. Unresponsive applications beyond 30 days after the closing date will be deemed unsuccessful. Only shortlisted candidates will receive further communication.
