BP’s Customers & Products entity is offering a valuable learnership opportunity within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic, international environment. The successful candidate will be immersed in the core functions of supply chain management, focusing on data, quality performance, and process coordination.
Job Description
The Global Supply Chain Learner is a key support role responsible for generating accurate and timely management information (MI) reports. These reports cover Health, Safety, and Quality performance, data entry activities, and general Supply Chain metrics. The learner will also play an active role in relevant meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments.
A significant part of the role involves coordinating product changes within the Supply Chain. This includes managing the F2103 process for New Product Introduction (NPI), engaging with third-party (3P) manufacturers, and collating data for updates in the bp Global Database. The incumbent will work closely with various internal teams and external partners, including the Blendcor Joint Venture (JV) and UnicoTec, to provide continual support to manufacturing management and help meet service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier quality performance, record non-conformities in the regional supplier complaints system, and track customer complaints via the global eQMS database.
- Manufacturer Monitoring: Oversee the product quality performance of third-party manufacturers and update periodic MI reports.
- Meeting Coordination: Capture minutes and generate quality performance reports from engagements between Castrol and its 3P suppliers.
- Quality Observations: Track and record manufacturing Quality Observation Conversations (QOC’s) against global performance benchmarks.
- Lab Correlation Program: Coordinate the Inter-laboratory Correlation Programme (ILCP) by collating and reporting test results from participants in the region.
- F2103/NPI Process: Coordinate and track the efficient execution of the F2103 process related to New Product Introduction and product changes between technology, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
- Customer Samples: Receive and distribute customer samples to relevant manufacturers for complaint investigations and track the progress of Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Compliance & Audits: Track audit findings and follow up with third-party manufacturers to ensure closure of identified issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships quickly.
- Agility and flexibility, with an openness to change.
- Awareness of sustainability issues and their relation to business operations.
