Job Description
As a Data Capturing Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our wool processing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage data related to wool clips, maintain precise records, and provide crucial administrative support to ensure seamless workflow. You will be the link between various internal teams and external clients, making your role essential to our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately allocate lot numbers and capture all incoming clip data received from Administration Clerks.
- Maintain consistency in farmer descriptions across all data systems and physical records.
- Update bale marker recording sheets promptly after every fibre delivery.
- Manage and maintain sample records, ensuring all documentation is correctly submitted to the Wool Testing Bureau.
- Organize and file clip worksheet boxes efficiently.
- Regularly update and manage stationery inventory for the department.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Support and adhere to all company Health & Safety standards and protocols.
- Provide support to internal teams and assist with truck checking duties, especially during peak seasons.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in all system entries, documentation, and physical filing.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in data capturing, administration, or inventory control.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other data management systems.
- Must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to perform various ad-hoc duties to support operational needs.

Who You Will Work With (Internal & External Customers)
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Internal: Administration Clerks, Supervisors, Bale Markers, Receiving Clerks, the Wool Testing Bureau team, and Technical Administrators.
External: Farmers, Transporters, and Auditors.
