About the Position

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Auto Press and Plating Team Leader on behalf of our client in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all operations align with production plans, focusing on method, time, and quality.
Compile, analyze, and report daily production data to provide manufacturing insights.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in workflow to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
Implement initiatives to meet production targets and address any losses or scrap components.
Manage staffing and shift coverage to ensure adequate resources.
Highlight production or equipment trends to relevant departments for corrective action.
Ensure compliance with quality, capability, capacity, and legal standards in all operations.
Adhere to and enforce quality requirements outlined in the Quality Manual and IMDS.
Ensure proper identification and labeling of components, assemblies, and materials.
Address and resolve quality issues promptly.

Maintenance Responsibilities

Ensure basic operator maintenance is performed.
Adhere to maintenance systems, including timely submission of breakdown and TPM forms.

Formal Schooling/Degree

NSC Matric Certificate (required).
Trade certification as a Fitter & Turner (essential).

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in the mechanical industry.

Languages

Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.

Desired Skills

Production performance management.
Quality assurance and control.
Machinery and equipment maintenance.
Tooling inspection.
Implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Desired Qualification Level

Certificate.
