Assistant Principal / Teacher

Leadership Position

Dual-role opportunity at a high-performing Johannesburg school (0.5 admin, 0.5 teaching).

Administrative Duties

• Support principal in daily school operations
• Lead staff development programs
• Manage academic timetabling
• Oversee student discipline and wellbeing
• Coordinate parent engagement initiatives

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach FET Phase in specialization subject
• Develop innovative curriculum materials
• Mentor student teachers
• Lead subject department

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education + PGCE
• SACE registration
• 5+ years teaching experience
• 2+ years in leadership role
• Master’s degree in Education (advantageous)

Remuneration Package

• Total package: R45,000 – R55,000 monthly
• Housing allowance: R8,000/month
• Medical aid subsidy
• Pension fund contribution
• Professional development budget

Specialization: Mathematics/Science/Technology preferred
