Job Summary

Assist the Artisan in daily maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and quality while following reasonable instructions.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / N3 Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (advantage)
• At least 12 months’ experience in a similar environment
• Code 8 or 10 driver’s licence (advantage)

Primary Duties

• Maintain tools and materials
• Keep work areas clean and orderly
• Clean tools and equipment from the maintenance store
• Set up scaffolding and ladders as required
• Assist with drilling, grinding, holding, supporting, pushing and pulling within limits
• Prepare and paint equipment as requested
• Dig when required
