About the Role

We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Heavy Earthmoving Product team. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting heavy earthmoving equipment and writing detailed inspection reports.
• Performing basic troubleshooting, testing, maintenance and repairs on machinery.
• Removing and installing components in a workshop and at customer sites.
• Ordering parts and managing inventory.
• Controlling own administration – preparing service reports, booking labour, managing parts returns and tracking expenses.
• Compiling accurate customer machine analysis and reports, including Machine Inspection Reports (MIR).

Qualifications & Skills

• Grade 12 / N3 with a minimum 45% pass in Pure Mathematics (non‑functional).
• Grade 12 with a minimum 45% pass in English.
• Grade 12 / N3 with a minimum 45% pass in Physical Science.
• Knowledge of Motor/Diesel theory and/or Electrical/Electronic theory (N2/N3 with relevant theory is an advantage).
• Technicians for The World certificate is an advantage.
• Minimum Code B Learner’s License (light motor vehicle) is an advantage.
